CPL Prepaid is Available in the Following Texas Cities

To use CPL Prepaid, you must have a provisioned smart meter (also known as an Advanced Meter), and an activated SMS text capable phone or an active email address to receive your daily electricity usage communications. Additionally, you cannot be a Critical or Chronic Care patient.

CPL Prepaid is a variable electricity price product with an Energy Charge and a daily Base Charge. Your electricity price may vary day to day if there are changes to Transmission Distribution Utility (TDU) delivery charges or regulatory charges, or changes in law that impose new or modified fees that are out of our control. In addition, the electricity charge and daily Base Charge may change up to once a month at our discretion; however, each change during the month will not increase more than 30% from your previous period's charge.
