What's the difference between CPL and the utility?
Your local utility, American Electric Power (AEP), handles power outages, repairs, reads your meter and delivers the electricity that flows into your home over the same wires it uses now. If a storm blows down a power line or a car hits a utility pole, your utility still fixes the problem and restores your power.
CPL supplies power to your utility. If you have questions about electric generation billing or other issues related to generation, you would call CPL.
